Thats the bassinet we have in our room, its great honestly. I like having the baby close to us, as we don't have a baby monitor and we can hear her easily when she wakes up. Its also great to have to bring downstairs as all she does is sleep most of the time. We'll probably start putting her in her crib when she's 8-12 weeks old.

When Drake was baby we only used the crib but because we lived in an apartment back then, a bassinet really wasn't needed. But if you have more than one floor, its an awesome investment.

Thats def not something that appeals to me i prefer things that look chunky and solid to put the baby in. luckily my house is quite big so i will be able to have a crib downstairs a bedside cot in our room then the nursery. Which would be the room next to ours then move them to the front room when they are older and need more space

We're going for a crib http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/...18_10001_14053 which is an excellent price and then a cot bed. We don't want to put him straight in the cot as it looks so big and I think the crib will last longer than a moses basket. We should also be able to disassemble the crib and pack it away for the next baby.

We have decided on a swinging crib for downstairs and put baby in a moses basket inside the cot, which we will have in our room for the first few weeks. Babies R Us had a great sale on yesterday - the I Love My bear crib was £60 insead of £90, and the Quinny Buzz had £60 off - so our plan not to buy anything until I'm at least 25 weeks has totally gone out the window!

We will be doing a crib, just not enough room in our apartment for anything else.

I've been umming and ahhing about this topic for a while - there's so much choice!!

I think I'm going to get a Graco travel cot for the bedroom (Graco Travel cot) and a cot bed for the nursery. We'll probably have bubba in with us for at least three months. The travel cot has a bassinet and will fit next to the bed (whereas the cotbed wouldn't) and then I figured the travel cot could be put up in the lounge for day time naps but will also come in handy if we go and stay with family and friends...

just decided..think I'll get a travel cot with a basinette for use during the day and then put baby into his big cot/bed right away at night.
This way at least I have a travel cot for use when away etc too.

does anyone know if this will be OK for baby's back? If he sleeps in this every day for his day time naps?
