I did get one of these for when i'm in the garden:http://cgi.ebay.fr/Tres-beau-couffin...QQcmdZViewItem maybe he could snooze in there during the day when small ...
Well during the day i am going to have a baby bouncer for them to sleep in or because i'm prob gonna get a combination pram theres the car seat but i wouldn't leave them in that for a long period of time. There's much more to think about than first appears isn't there??!! That moses basket looks pretty though, and it folds up by looks?? Fab!

there certainly is more to think about than we first think! I hadnt planned on baby sleeping in this for long periods..depends if it's good for his spine. But i guess it could be OK. yes it folds up - i thought it'd be good for idylic afternoons spent at bbqs (ive this visiion that motherhood is going to be one long holiday.....i'm sure i'll geta shock!haha)

We have small rooms too and I want baby in with me for a good few months, so we went for a second hand swinging crib for £40. I think it'll be good till 6 months and then baby goes into his/her cot in the room next door. I thought a moses basket might only last a month or two before baby is too big and I might not be ready for him/her to go next door at that stage. The swinging crib seems so much more sturdy than a moses basket on a stand.

Haven't decided want I'm going to do for the moving around the house stuff yet!

i've been talking to friends and my mum who have mostly said moses basket as it can be with you ie. sleep in the day in the living room, at night whilst your watching tv etc - especially helpful when breast feeding.

i'm still not sure though!? xx
[b]family i've asked have definatly recommended having something they can sleep in dstairs, they all agree on that. It's what? The moses basket is a good idea and easily transportable but I can't help they're expensive for something thats only going to last a few weeks before they out grow it.

Does anyone know actually in practice how long moses basket will last you before LO outgrows it?

Sorry for all the questions!! B]

I have all three lol (well Seren still has the cotbed at the moment). I have a crib by my bed, a moses basket downstairs and Cally sleeps best in my bed so I give up.

Seriously though i have found the crib to be fab value for money,it cost us £35 and Seren was in it for ages.

Thats why I like the soft crib.... Moses baskets never seem to resell for very much, as they don't look 'new' for very long.

I borrowed a wooden swing crib for Ethan, but found that it was too big to have next to the bed.. and thats where it had to stay.. Also, big brother got a bit too vigorous with the whole swinging to sleep thing one day, and terrified me... and Ethan

I think it would depend on the size of the baby really. I personally don't like moses baskets. Would much rather put them in a baby bouncer or cot.
