bugaboo bee or quinny buzz, that is the big question..

Hello everyone. I am in the middle of a buggy decision crisis and I cant think of a better place for opinions or personal experience.
I am torn between a bugaboo bee and a quinny buzz. Both would be suitable from birth up.
I need a small 'vehicle' as I dont do off-roading living in a town, plus my boot isn't huge and I have a 5 year old to contend with also.
The quinny is a bit more bulky but manageable. I had a zapp stroller for my son and that was a godsend, amazing in shops. I know you can get a car seat on the zapp chassis but its rather exposed with no hood etc.. When my son was born we basically wasted £800 on a M&P system, huge, bulky, bouncy wheeled thing. Rubbish in town and shops. Then at 6mths gave up and spent £180 on the zapp.
We are keen not to make the same mistake this time by getting a buggy to suit birth to young toddler which is compact and light.
Does anyone have experience with either?

oh and I almost forgot, if you have a good suggestion based on my requirements they would be most appreciated. There are far too many on the market! Thank you ladies.

We just bought the quinny3.love it,cant wait to use it.i find it one of the easiest to lift,it may be heavier in weight but the way it folds means it spreads the weight so somehow made it lighter! didnt look at bugaboo as more expensive.we got our quinny for 285 at asda direct x

Hmm... £285... thats good (opening up new window on the way to asda )..
I must say I have only ever seen the bugaboo, stood near a lady in a shop with one! I haven'tactually pushed it / lifted it but the collapsed pictures look small and it is light.
The other half prefers the Buzz (I guess it is more unisex than the bugaboo) and I only have good words to say about the Zapp we had with our 5 year old. Sadly we sold it as we weren't having another one!!
Perhaps with the Buzz you have the best of both.
It is so difficult as it is an expensive purchase to make (yet again)
I am eager to hear from a Bugaboo owner, my other half is concerned about the durability....
Thank you everyone and happy motoring!

oooh a question Buzz owners, do you have to have the baby (newborn) in the car seat to face you or is the standard seat (facing you) still suitable for a newborn? I never used the car seat attachment with Harry - didn't like him scrunched up in the car seat...

Havent actually used it yet with the bubs, got to wait till may!but we got the maxi cosi car seat which fits on the quinny frame and the baby faces me.however we also plan to use the seat which is suitable for new borns and can either face me or face away.not getting carry cot,a lot of money for such a short use, going to get the muff thing so the bubs is wrapped up warm!

True...
We would get the car seat anyway because we never kept Harrys I would just prefer the baby out of the car seat and in the buggy on a 'purpose walk' rather than fell asleep in the car and just nipping into the shop, click and go.
I agree about the footmuff and carry cot (more so carry cot) they grow out so quickly and seeing as we will both be having summer babies (hopefuly summer) there is little point getting all of that and not using it.
I must say that I am more leaning towards the quinny as long as O/H agrees on Strawberry!
Thank you x

I prefer the Bugaboo personally, the lack of storage space with the Buzz really puts me off!
