those moments when it hits you

(not the baby!!)
Do you still have those moments when suddenly you'll think "OMG I'm actually having a baby!!!!". I do - like i'm only just starting to believe it!
Had one driving along the other day - I was pulling up at the lights and WHAM! it hit me - the baby is really there!!

and just had another now. Those moments shock me....like a moment of suden clarity that "this ISNT a game...wowser....i'm going to be a Mum! Like....a REAL one!...." The adrenaline gets going!!

I still have these moments and have difficulty believing what is happening to me, despite feeling the little tyke wriggling about, and having a big belly. It's like it's a dream or i'm pretending..

I bet it wont feel 100% real for a long time yet...even after baby is in my arms!!

I totally feel the same way. when I see a tiny baby, it is so hard for me to realistically know that is what is going to be coming out of me soon. It just does not compute. It is too big, too amazing, and too wonderful. How can it be so simple, and soo hard at the same time?

I think it's very normal to have those feelings, even with your second and third.

I remember when I was about 33 weeks pregnant with my first and watching the news one morning before going to work. It was 9/11 and I saw the planes hit the towers, then the pentagon, etc. I remember driving to work thinking, my god, what if this is the start of a big war. I was so freaked out and I thought, my goodness, I may not see my child and the other thing was, why am I bringing a child into this world.

It is fun! Kids make Christmas and Easter that much more enjoyable.
