A & E!!

What a day i've had. Been having some pains at the top of my bump for a couple of days. It has been quite sore today so after work DH took me up to A & E. I was seen by the triage sister who referred me to the labor ward. Once there the midwife thought i was in labor as that was want the A & E notes said. Must admit that freaked me out a bit.
Anyway heard baby's heartbeat and also got an emergency scan. Prawn has got so big since my 12 weeks scan.
Thankfully all is ok with prawn. They have no idea what is causing my pain but said to see my doctor if it continues. It's still sore now but i think i'm still on a high from seeing Prawn again.
Only 9 days til my next scan!

Funnily enough I also have a pain at the top of my bump, and have done for at least 3/4 weeks. I went to see my midwife who checked me over, all ok, but got me an emergency doctors appointment..he put it down to either acid in my stomach (which I personally dont think it is) or damaged muscles at the top of my abdomen, which I think it feels like. Not sure if yours is similar, basically, its there all the time, but gets progressively worse as the day goes on, more I move etc...if I rest a lot, have a bath, it goes away a bit, but always comes back eventually. Not sure if what I have is similar to you or not, but I know what I have is nothing serious, just a bit tender, told me to take paracetemol and rest as much as possible. Wont effect the baby in any way..just me

Glad everything is ok with your baby though, its reassuring to hear the heartbeat and see how they are getting on

This sounds exactly like what i have. Acid in my stomach was mentioned and i thought this was a possibility. Been having really bad heartburn and living on Gavisgon but nothing today. Also might have pulled a muscle from playing the Wii.

Really excited about my next scan as i only got a quick peek today. Labour ward is great. Although i'm seriously considering a water birth now. Have you been in the 'Home to Home' bit on the first floor?
