Could be a UTI (bladder infection). Make an appointment at doctors to get it checked out. The antibiotics they will give you are safe in pregnancy. xoxox

I have had this on and off for awhile, more frequent lately. My OB said that the hormones are causing swelling, an sucky affect of the pregnancy. Def. get your doctors advice if you are concerned though!!

I've had weird sharp but at the same time dull pulsing pains in my vag recently...I have had a UTI, but I'm hoping they're not related to that because I just finished my antibiotics!! :S

If you're worried get checked out! Could be baby's positioning maybe?

xx

hey all of you... it could be a UTI, OR- as i had this with my first pregnancy... it could be your cervix... mine started thinning early (had my DD at 33 weeks) either way, talk to your doctor about it. It could also be the baby, or just growing pains.

Ive had sharp pains, dull pains and pulsating in my vagina on and off since 18 weeks and have no UTI (been checked twice) so I hope its not my cervix :O i'm only 22 weeks - dont want my cervix to be dilating!! I get it every few days and feels as though baby is led on a nerve or something..
xx

I get this occasionally, but I'm pretty sure they would have told me if something was up with my cervix as I had two emergency ultrasounds in the ER, and I came back negative for any kind of UTI or kidney infection, so it may be nothing, but I would still ask your doc just to be sure

My Dr. told me that it was just growing pains, from everything stretching.

I've had similar pains and my cervix has been checked every 2 weeks for awhile now and no changes have taken place..(thank goodness). Perinatal specialist said it was normal to have those pains. I've been getting them a lot this week and I go in Monday to have my cervix checked again.
