Hi I seem to have become really sensitive to some soaps / shower gels! Really odd and never have been before.
Is this normal or should I be worried??

I've never heard of this, but could be. I've always had soap/perfume allergies so I really don't vary what brands I use very much. Hopefully one of the other girls can help you out a bit more.

Are you talking about the scent? I wasn't able to use scented soaps through my pregnancy as the smell would sent me hurling...but in terms of skin irritation, no never had that.

No I mean skin irritating, It just seems sensitive and for eg my deodorant doesnt seem to work as well - not that I'm really sweaty or anything just that it's a lttle noticeable nowadays thats all (sorry TMI)

I've heard that you can develop allergies to certain thigns during pregnancy that you might not usually be allergic too.

Before I found out I was pregnant, I started getting a horrible rash and dry skin on my face and I realised it only happened when I used clearasil. It came on very suddenly, and I thought it was odd since I've been using it since I was 16! Ive had to start using something else now because of the rash I was getting.

I would try going for something like Simple or Neutrogena, thats really really sensitive instead of what you're used to

my hands have been very dry and flaky since being pregnant - especially between the fingers. I blame the harsh hand soaps found in ladies toilets.
