SIL Still not getting the hint!!!! *RANT*

As you may remember I posted a thread a little while ago about my SIL having an opinion on EVERYTHING.. Well she's still doing it!!! I posted on my status on FB about getting excited about xmas and how next year will be even better (what with having pip and HOPEFULLY OH's two children aswell).. And my OH posted a little joke about spending £500 on each child (obviously this is ambitious and we could only afford that if we won the lottery lol) and she commented saying "good luck with saving that much when you got your own place, a baby and bills to pay".. And then when I put on my status about my private scan friday she commented asking why I'd booked to pay for one when my NHS one is so close. And made me feel like I have to justify myself to her.. She had her 20 week scan today and I reminded her enough to let me know how she got on etc and she commented being a complete SNOB but STILL hasn't had the decency to let me know how she got on!

I feel like I've tried really hard with her and was actually quite surprised when we had a civil conversation the other night about what I can get my brother 4 xmas as I'm really struggling with him this year, and actually quite enjoyed it. I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse trying to be her friend. What is her problem??? PLEASE someone tell me why she feel's she's above me

If she posted to me about Christmas money for each child, I would have replied with ''It's a JOKE, 'Betsy'. It's not an invitation for a sarcastic reply. If you can't say anything nice...''

Regarding the scan comment, ''Because I bloody well feel like it, not that it's anyone's business!''

hahahaha...seriously though, if she's going to continue on like this, why not delete her from facebook and if you need to, get increasingly blunt with her since she's not affording you politeness or tact. Sometimes people like this need to be just told off, straight up, without mincing words.

It is hard holding back sometimes!! I think because I'm still living at my mums it makes it harder to be blunt about what I say.. I'm currently in the process of finding somewhere and I've already decided that when I'm in my own place I will be deleting her from FB and I will have nothing to do with her. And at least when I am in my own place I don't have to worry about her popping in with my brother like they do VERY RARELY to my mums lol

She's probably jealous of any relationship you have with your brother. You don't need to keep trying with this person - the others are right - get rid!

I have had nothing but problems with my brother's gf since last Xmas. We have now completely fallen out and my brother decided to fall out with me as well because she is so utterly controlling and he seems to have lost control of his senses! Not a nice situation...

When someone asks me a question I dont want to answer I say "Why do you want to know?" They get really embarrased and cant answer as they cant say because they are bloody nosy!!

Good luck with it hun
