i want my SCAN.

im due for my scan this week but i still dont know when it is,
when i had my 12 week scan the woman said ill be getting a letter through for my 21 week scan date BUT i still havnt received it.

when i had my 12 week scan i got the letter for my apointment on the wednesday and my scan was the friday.

it does annoy me that i dont know when im having my scan.

i want to know when it is coz i cant wait any longer to see my baby.

Seems like they should have contacted you already! I guess there's no way to call them and find out??

yeh you would of thought they would of told me by now.

well ive got 5 phone numbers for hospital so i wouldnt know where to start.

its just that hubby has had his day off this week and not off now til sunday so if i get a letter say tomorrow and it says ive got my scan friday, hubby will struggle to get a day off. and hospital is about 30 mins car drive and i dont drive and i dont want to go on my own. x x

I'd call all five numbers until I got an answer! If it's going to be this week they really should have told you by now!!

well its a 21 week scan so it should be this week or next,shouldnt it.

how much time (notice) should they give roughly for a scan date

Thats awful to give you only two days notice!!!
As vickie said I would phone all five numbers and chase it up.
This scan is essential so i would hassle them until they gave you an answer, i'd also complain that you've been waiting for this letter and if the scan is due this week then its definitely insufficient notice for arranging time of work etc.

I was given a date for my twenty week scan nearly two weeks ago when i was 14 weeks so have 6 weeks notice.
I think they should give you a weeks notice at the very least.
The scan usually happens between 18-22 weeks I think.
I would explain the situation and say it's not good enough that you haven't been given sufficient notice and would like to know the date of your scan over the phone so you can make arrangements, dont get off the phone till they've given you the date your well within your rights!
