| Do you think animals sense it??? I was talking to my DH's pregnant cousin. She was telling me about how their boxer will come up to the couch she's sitting on and rest his head on her tummy as if to be listening.
Which btw I think is cute! lol
I've been wondering if they can actually sense it. We have a farm full of animals at home. My least favourite however is my DH's pig *sigh* I was against him getting her, she's a monstrosity, an annoyance, the list is endless. Luckily she's not one of those specially treated pigs that sleep indoors. She's an outdoor pig. Since she got a bit bigger she has constantly tried beating me up. Especially if she comes into season....and oddly enough sorry for TMI but if I was on my period as well.
Since falling pregnant she hasn't really bothered with me. She's not happy around me, she wont come near me but she doesn't try ramming into me anymore.
Then there's the dogs. I noticed our one bitch last night. She was getting all hyper and playful with me and instead of jumping on the couch and onto my lap like she normally would she stopped half way onto the couch and put her head down near my stomach then wagged her tail at me and got off.
Strange! Anyone else notice different behaviour in their pets or is it safe to say mine have found a special plant in the back of the garden | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I did in the beginning with my miniature Jack Russell. She often lies with her head on my tummy or even rubs it with her head. Tho now i think she forgets when she's hyper and running across the sofa cos she'll trying jumping on me lol. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah my cat is different around me, she lays on my stomach whenever I am still. She also 'paws' at the my bump, its cute
And my mums dog won't be playful around me, she just sits in front of me and protects me |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Definately, when i was pregnant with nicole and oh still lived at home, i used to sleep there all the time and their dog would climb into bed with me and lie against my bump as if to keep it safe!! Was so cute. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was wondering about this myself. We have a female boxer dog and since I've become pregnant she has now been more of my OH's dog and more closer to him. Strange!
Our goats are still the same and one jumped on my back the other day to eat my hair. Buggers! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My cats seem to be acting the same. They both get up in my lap at different times and it's not uncommon for one of them to knead my stomach (well really any place she can get too ) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | In a way I think animals can sense something is going on. My boxer has always been very protective of me, but it seems like he is getting worse about it. He pouts if I go to the bathroom and shut the door. He absolutely does not like for my husband to touch me, he play bites at him (so if it was someone else, I'm scared he would bite them). He is the sweetest dog and would not hurt anyone on purpose (really hyper dog). He has to be by my side every minute. When I go to bed, he lays in front of the bedroom door (my big protector). I love him so much but when baby comes we are going to have to do something different with him because he doesnt' understand kids and tries jumping on them. I gotta protect lil Peyton when he gets here. We have a fenced in yard so he will be outside a lot (which he can't stand either, I have spoiled him rotten). |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I completely believe that animals can sense - Our cat has been really strange since I became PG.
He is really protective of me and has actually grabbed DH recently when he thought DH would harm me.
Serves DH right as he was trying to wind the cat up!!!!
I didn't think it would work until I saw Bling ( that's the cat) hanging off the arm of DH - Safe to say DH hasn't tried it again! LOL
