Morning sickness

Hi ladies

Luckily my sickness has almost gone now... but a colleague at work whos wife is also expecting said she is suffering real bad...

I know some of u have also experienced the same so I woz wondering if u can share any tips with me that I can pass on?
What about this 'bangle' that some of u have mentioned? Are they good? and where can they be bought from?

Thanks

Hi
You could try telling her to eat little amounts and often and to snack on dried fruits or crackers throughout the day.
Arrow root biscuits are meant to be good for morning sickness you can get them from big supermarkets.
I have not tried the motion bangles but have seen a thread on here before and someone recommended them, if her sickness is that bad, it's worth a go!
Tell her to drink lots of fluid to replace the ones lost by sickness this is important to prevent dehydration.
Hope this helps a little

smelling lemons, ginger biscuits and a cupa tea before you even get out of bed, crackers everywhere so you can snack when nauseas, lemon and ginger herbal tea-no idea about the bangles- snacking on carrot sticks.....

ginger was great for me i had to alternate toothpastes eveyday too....

i was sick for 7 months so nothing really worked they all just made it easier i had to keep chopping and changing everyday.

and i was addicted to fablollys- they used to stopo me feeling sick

I had very bad morning sickness. I tried everything listed above, and none of it worked. Just by chance one morning I had a really greasy breakfast from McDonalds (even though this is supposed to be a big no no with morning sickness) and I felt instantly better. In talking with alot of other women with morning sickness, I've noticed this trend: what works for getting rid of a hangover, works for morning sickness. So if you are a toast and coffee after a night of drinking kind of a gal, try that. If you are like me and go for the greasy hashbrowns and bacon, try that. I also used things called SeaBands (in the US) used for travel sickness and they did help a little. Also, prenatal vitamins can contribute to morning sickness. Make sure to take them with a full meal, and I think lunch is best.

Not in the UK myself so don't know where the bangle could be bought. I drank 7 up and ate soda crackers (plain crackers). I hope your co-worker starts feeling better soon.
