The way we saw it was that we were willing to raise a child with possible disabilities and a 'bad' result (so to speak) wouldn't make us abort so we just chose to ride it out and see

I'm sure whatever decision you make will be the right one for you

I've heard that it's 6 in 100 before 15 weeks and 1 in 100 after 15 weeks. Still is a concern!

I can handle needles too, but just the very thought of putting one in my stomach and through to near the baby. UGH!

I'll personally take my chance but I have a good sense of positiveness that all is well.

Once again, though, for those who have gone through it, you are brave!

im a bit against it, ive reluctantly had the blood tests. i really couldnt handle aborting a baby. dont know how i personally would cope.
id rather not know till it was born then deal with it. im a sink or swim type of person.

My husband and I had talked about the amnio as well because I am 36. We decided that when we do get pregnant, we are going to do the blood tests and that is it. I can't see why we would need to do anything like that if all the blood test and scans go fine, there isn't any reason for us to do the amnio. That is my opinion. I completely understand your reasons for not doing it. I know everything is just fine with your little one!
Take care!

Hun, sorry to say but it's one of those old wives tales.

http://www.pregnancy-info.net/wives_...and_myths.html

Another one I debunked was the myth if you carried low you are having a boy and if you carry high it will be a girl. I carried low with my girl.

Thanks sweetie!

As the doctor said, if something shows in my triple test than at that point I should have the amnio. I'd rather have the blood test than the other
