I'm Currently Feeling:

stress? 18 weeks appointment today

I've been feeling under so much pressure from work recently. Long story short i only started this job in October, so still feel like i have to constantly prove myself - amongst other thing. I walk around all day trying to hold it together and not burst into tears. Partly coz of the pressure i'm under and partly 'm assuming coz of the hormones.
I have my 18 week appointment this morning and i was considering asking the midwife to sign me off for a while. How do i bring up the subject??? Its not really something i would normally talk about. Usually (in non-pregnant circumstances) i'd just put my head down and get on with things, so its pretty difficult to talk about this stuff for me.
I just need some advice i guess. thanks

Explain to her what you have just told us, sounds good enough! Tell her you need some time out.

I agree with Jules. Just explain to her that you are feeling very stressed out by it all, I'm sure she'll be very understanding
