ache in the night.

woke up in teh night to a weird pain. A muscular type pain on the full left side of my belly. I know I've been stretching a lot in my sleep lately (I think my brain forgets I'm pregnant and cant work out why i feel so heavy so stretches to try adn shift the bulk!?!?hehe).
It disappeared as soon as I fully woke up, so i almost wonder if I dreamt it.
Anyway, it felt like a muscle cramping, but just on the left.....but brief..I wondered about these braxton hicks things (I'm yet to read up on them!) but it was just one side....any ideas?
I'm praying buba will have another wriggly day so I dont worry!

I know, i have had a few weird feelings around my belly this last couple of days, i think thats what may be keeping me awake all night too, i'm just thinking its stretching or baby moving around alot..... I have felt him/her kicking throughout the day so not going to worry about it.

I'm pretty sure it sounds like regular pregnancy pains, but i totally understand how you feel i keep getting pains in my right side a bit like a nasty stitch that go around to my side giving me horrible back ache....do you think thats normal too?
I'm sure you feel like i do most days, wondering if every twinge is normal.

If you have difficulty walking about though it is probably best to speak to your midwife
xx

oh no trouble walking and the pain went as soon as I fully woke up. it was justa big cramp, on one side. which woke me up. Really harsh briefly, so i gripped my tummy and then gone! I have been reading about those braxton hicks what-sits...it says it can wake women up...wonder if it was that - can they be just one sided?! Odd....ah well.. http://www.abdopain.com/braxton-hicks.html

Not sure about your stiches whisper - sound very uncomfy if nothing else...maybe ask your doc next time you see him/her? I always list mine. I bet he thinks i'm a real worrier! Pregnancy does seem to be full of aches and pains doesnt it.

Lovely picture whisper!!!

Often when I am laying at a bad angle, or am on my back and stretch or cough, I get those pains for a few minutes after. I am pretty sure it's normal and nothing to be concerned about.

I wonder.... can you girls tell me if this is ok. While we're on the topic. I get the usual pains and cramps when I stretch or move too quickly or cough. They last a few seconds then disappear.

The other night I was trying to get food out of the oven. Now our oven is old and the door is a bit loose so if you don't make sure it's closed all the way it falls open. Not pleasant since it's heavy and we fear it might fall off LOL

Anyway I was struggling with getting the dish out that I didn't get the door up all the way and my hand slipped and it went flying down so I grabbed it. Quite a sudden movement. After that I had to go sit down because I got this cramp like what you said tinytoes, like a muscle cramp. It went away as soon as I put my feet up but then I tried standing again and it came back. I'd say it lasted about 2-3 minutes. Then I could finally get up without that feeling.

I'll mention it to my dr. I just thought I'd put it down here too.

Yeh I'm glad I had my appointment yesterday LOL

Dr wasn't concerned he said it's normal and everything still looks 100%. He's basically just said most pain like that is fine if it lasts longer than a few minutes and/or gets worse then there might be a problem.

What the heck!?!?! I just posted a reply and it isn't showing.

I said that I went to see my Dr yesterday. Everything is 100% and he wasn't concerned.

Basically his rule is that most pain is normal around pregnancy. If it lasts longer than a few minutes and/or gets worse then there's a problem.
