23 weeks but feel baby less than when i was 21 weeks!

hiya

i am 23 weeks and feel the odd kick but seem to feel him/her kicking less than when i was 21 weeks! when i was 22 weeks, the amount of kicks i felt did reduce, but the fact that i got a series of kicks at least once a day, i was not too worried. im now 23 weeks and feel baby even less. im worried...is it cos im fat (im size 8/10 pre preg, not size 10/12, weight went from 9st3 to 10st7) and so cant feel baby moving as much cos he/she has moved an inch higher above my belly button? im feeling very down about this, cos i just dont know whether i should be counting or something (i wish i could see what he/she is playing at!). please advise...

Hi hon, I am 23 weeks today and was thinking exactly the same thing this morning - I am feeling her much less than I was at 20-21 weeks... I assume its to do with the growth spurt they are having at the moment, so are less inclined to move about as they are putting energy into growing! As long as you feel some movement during the day I really would try not to worry about it, although mention it to your midwife if you are still worried xx

i dont think the movement counts start until a few weeks time , but try not to worry. baby has probably just moved a little and isnt striking the front of your tummy as often now, at 23 weeks there is still lots of room for him/ her to change position in there and room enough that you wont feel every movement he/ she makes

that said if you want to set your mind at rest speak to you mw and get her to check you over, just to be sure

I had the same thing between 21-24 weeks baby slowed down lots but the last 2 days she is letting me no she is still there as her movements have increased again and are stronger.

Im sure bubs is just resting
