WORK... rant

who the frigging hell do they think they are???

I rang up work to let them know that I wont be in today,
cant face it had a bleed on friday and went to the emergency room in the womens hospital, got an emergency scan tommorow. I explained this to the resources dept and i got a cold reply from the cold hearted bitch on the phone...
"do you have proof"
i was fuming and said "of what my bleed, haven't sorry i've thrown the pads away. I have however got a letter from the emergency room stating i have an emergency scan"
she then said, "no obiously not your bleed your scan. also vicki you will need a doctors note to cover your absences between today and whenever you decide to make an appearance... which is when by the way?"
i friggin flipped, asked her when she would expect to be in work if she was pregnant had a bleed and had to wait for an emergency scan to find out if her baby was okay.
she then put me through to my manager, i didnt ask to be put through, shes making a complaint ABOUT THE WAY I SPOKE TO HER!?????? iam livid about that 1 ive told my manager to listen to the recording of that conversation and ask her self who was in the wrong, my manager waffled about not speaking to someone like that... i lost it then saying she should have a bit more compassion than she has who the hell asks for proof and demands you to know when you'll be back to work as harshly as she did when i dont have a fucking clue to tell my head to resume as normal.
my lovely manager then informed me i have got 2 disiplinarys whenever i come back to work 1 for excessive unauthorised time off the phone (im being penalised for extra toilet breaks and having morning sickness. and the other, i was on a call (work in a call center) and felt like i needed to be sick so i put the fella on hold and by the time id got back to him he'd hung up... my manager just so happened to be listening to that call.

i just cant cope, by the time i came off the phone i was in tears, i am fuming. i rang my nan to tell her and she said to me to get to the doctors to get their precious note but also tell my doctor i cant cope with every pregnancy related problem/appointment being scrutinised. she said to me i dont need this on top of everything else. she wants me to tell my doctor i cant cope with work and i need to be signed off as they're making me more stressed than i already am. got an appointment with my gp today. i feel like such a fraud going to see him with it already in my head that i want to be signed off with stress as i normally handle my problems head on and dont let them get me down too much but this is just ridiculous i am a wreck. i see my nans point i have enough on my plate without them adding to it.

SORRY FOR THE HUGE RANT I NEEDED TO VENT

WOW!

That is all just plain nasty. Where has the compassion gone for pregnant women in the workplace?

So sorry you have to go through this!

they are terming it as excessive unauthorised time off the phone, not actually stating that its because of morning sickness.

Isn't there something such as a Labour Relations Board that you can make a complaint about your workplace?

Wow! hun that is soo harsh they should not be treating you that way, they definitely need some compassion injected into their cold veins!

I would go to my GP and explain the situation to him/her, you and the health of your baby are way way more important than those pompus twats (excuse the language!) You have every right to be signed off with stress, it is the duty of your employer to make your working life as stress free as possible and they are clearly not doing so, have they even done an office risk assessment since you told them you are pregnant?

told me they was planning to, but apparently my scare last week put the mockers on that as my doctor signed me off for a few days and convieniantly my risk assesment was meant for one of these days.

i just dont wanna go in the doctors and spill my heart out ill end up a teary mess.
