Im sorry hun but this is generally the kind of treatment to expect in that kind of environment. They dont care about ppl's feeling, all thats important is stats/calls etc.
It's not nice I know, but working in a calm environment can be stressful whilst pregnant, it must be so much worse in a call centre...

Could you manage financially if u packed the job in?

no couldnt really manage financially if i left to be honest. my doctor said i should take full advantage of the full sick pay as i dont plan to return after mat leave (start uni in march) so im sidding with my doctor ill just see how i feel when this note runs out and take it from there.

CALL CENTERS ARE CRAP
i hate them the best of times this was just a stop gap till uni. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

glad your doctor was so supportive.
What ever you do though do not quit your job!! you will lose a lot of maternity benefits!! Stick it out even if you need to get signed off till your mat leave begins. and make sure you call ACAS for advice.

my manager called me whilst i was in the doctors room, in fact she rang about 5 times i apologised to my doctor and she asked if she could answer it for me... by christ she did, the things she was saying aswell asking my manager if she was human and if she had a sympathetic bone in her body. haha she tore in to my manager good style calling her a disgrace and asking for her superiors telephone number.
my doctor suggested signing me off until i go on mat leave!!!!!
i said ill see how i am after these 2 weeks, she thinks im stupid not to as i get full sick pay.
im a bit more chilled ive got two weeks off to relax (and veg on here and ebay) haha.
just hope everything is fine tomorrow thats my main worry, its nice to know my doc is backing me up. she even did me a cup of tea lol

GO DOC! GO DOC! GO DOC!

Good for you, take this two weeks to relax and dont worry about work, they're obviously not very worried about you!

If after the two weeks you still cant face it, then get another sick note.

Wow! Your doc was great answering the phone like that and ripping into your manager. If your Doc is willing to sign you off til your maternity leave starts and you get full sick pay that way, then DO IT! The job is just not worth it. That company does not give a sh*t about you or your baby, so get yourself signed off and take it easy at home. Put yourself and your LO first.

Hope it all gets sorted for you and you´ve calmed down a bit now

I bet you feel a weight off your shoulders now you have time to yourself without thinking about those heartless pricks!! I would stay signed off until your maternity leave starts the stress they are causing you is not good for you or the baby!!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow
