Unhappy

stress incontinence anyone?

it seems a bit early for such a problem (I read it's most common in teh later stages or after birth) but i seem to be subject to it...

http://www.continence-foundation.org...continence.php

I've had to dash to the loo a couple of times when laughing!! And i've noticed that (I'm so embarrased!!..) that my undies tend to smell of wee after a while..it's not that they're wet, I mean I'm not literally wetting msyelf....maybe it's just little dribs and drabs sneaking out?!
I know we preggers ladies tend to have more discharge but I dont think this is it - surely that doesnt smell of public loos?!?!

I've previously had surgery on my V so maybe this is why i'm "blessed" with this so early? Or maybe it isnt too early in pregnancy?? Feeling sorry for myself...had a big teary outburst last night! (But then I did the same during Crufts so that's nothing suprising!....hehe)

Oh hun I know just what you mean. I have to admit my panty liners aren't just for the increased discharge. Doesn't help any that I have a bad cold and cough. I keep running to the ladies room all day at work.

I started getting it from very early on even though I've done pelvic floor exercises almost every day for as long as I remember. When I sneeze or laugh leakage can often occur!! One time was a VERY close call where I almost completely wet myself! It went away for a while, I guess when baby was no longer pressing on my bladder but it's come back again now.

Don't let it get you down. It's completely normal and you're not alone. I just wear a towel and sometimes freshen up with baby wipes. With that and wind which is sometimes impossible to hide - pregnancy is so undignafied!

I soke with the Dr about this, it is so nice seeing a Dr. that is at the same stage of pregnancy! and she is having the same issue. Said especially since this is not my first child, i think I will hide a box of wipes in the ladies room for now such a great idea, don't know why I hadn't thought of it!

mine are safely hidden in my bag!!
I'm seeing my doc on Friday so might mention it to him (Oh how embarassing!): This is my first baby so I feel a bit hard done by! But as I said, I've had previous surgery on my lady-bits so they've always been complicated! Typical me.

the smell is most probably in your imagination hun, pregnancy can heighten smell, so although you may feel you smell of wee you probably dont!

when im on my af, i feel very aware of my "scent" and am always freshening up! a small pack of wipes and a good panty liner will keep you feeling more comfortable
