I just wondered when you ladies plan to start buying/have bought large items such as pushchairs, cots, moses baskets, bouncers, car seats etc???????

Just out of curiosity

we've got just about all the basics. Travel system with car seat, swing, travel cot, bedding, nappies & toiletries, bath support, a few unisex babygrows/vests etc. only essential we've not yet got is the cot which we're not planning on getting till baby around 4-6 months old.

Everything else i got amazing bargins on buying in the sales!! I saved £160 on the travel system alone!!!

We've just ordered the cot and dresser but they won't be delivered until about May time. Family have been buying us things like a bouncer and clothes etc. We're trying to buy things each month so it doesn't seem to expensive!

We bought a steriliser / bottles a couple of months ago as they were on sale.

If you feel like buying, just go and shop I think it's such a lovely feeling! xx xx PS Now I have a bump, i don't feel like such a fraud going into baby shops!

I have bought everything before my tummy gets too big and I become crazy from all the hormones! I actually only still need a stroller but have been researching and have already decided which one I am getting. Will be buying that shortly...My husband just finished painting the nursery,so we will be placing all the stuff in the room tommorrow. I'm very excited!

I got my pram just after Christmas when I would have been 22 or 23 weeks. As for everything else, I've only just got it this week & I'm 30 weeks. Everyone in my family told me not to get stuff too early. I did have the odd bit of clothing though which I was given quite early on.

I won't start shopping until I have my 3d scan on the 20th. I want to make sure all is ok with LO and also have the gender confirmed.

If I could've seen into the future and knew that I was going to get pregnant again, I would never have given away all of my baby boy and baby girl stuff.

At least now though, I know what is truly needed and what I don't need to buy so I can be a better shopper
