Extreame Tiredness

Hi

Was wondering if anyone else was suffering from extreame tiredness.

It doesnt seem to matter what I am doing, all of a sudden I can feel myself falling asleep, I can actually feel my whole body relaxing. Also the morning sickness is definatly back again too, not that it actually went away fully.

I can cope with the sickness, but worried about the tiredness getting so bad, especially when I am alone with the kids (partner works different shifts). I have had to give up driving (my own choice), as I am worried I may fall asleep at the wheel.

I have an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday morning so will see what he says. Is anyone else feeling like this at this stage of their pregnancy. I never felt anything like this when I was pregnant with the 3 boys.

I was, and it turned out to be anemia.... so I would maybe bring that up ay your appt just to be sure. Simple blood tests will tell you if your body is lacking something that you need to keep you going. I now take 300 mg of iron a day and some extra folic acid, and feel great!! Hope you feel better soon... I know the feeling and it is horrible!!

Yes, the first thing I thought of when reading your post was that you may have anemia. It would be best to get tested

What you are describing is EXACTLY what i am like just now. The sickness stopped between about 13 and 15 weeks then came back with a vengence. Also the tiredness is constant. 24/7. On my days off work i rarely make it out of bed. I ususally wake up for an hour or so and get up to have some breakfast to try stop the sickness but then i NEED to sleep more. I've recently been sleeping a good 9-10 hours a night and then ANOTHER 6 or so hours during the day when i can. When i'm working its awful, i feel like i roll out of bed, go to work (struggling through the day yawning my head off) and then as soon as i'm back home i literally go straight to bed.

Are you taking iron tablets? A lot of pregnant women become anemic and usually they need iron tablets. Hope you get better soon. Take care!
