Being signed off work

As some of you may know ive had a nasty bladder infection since the weekend. It died down yesterday only to flare up again. Its not like cystitis with the burning and blood in my wee its just such a painful cramping bladder that burns inside about 2 mins after i empty (and to empty it takes about 5 min seriously)

Im just finding it hard at work as the constant pain and discomfort is so horrible.

To be signed off work do i actually have to ask my doctor i just tell her my symptoms and hope she signs me off? Ill feel silly if i ask and she says no i dont need to be signed off - ive never done this before so any help is great thanks girls
xx

First week is meant to be self certified, then after that just tell doctor you been off for a week and need a note as not well enough to go back.

When was your first day of sickness.?
