hospital are making me have growth scans as when i was younger i had occasionaly used canabis. I have not done for a long time and certinaly not whilst pregnant. I feel like they think im a raving drug addict

Thats odd you sure its because of your past drug taking and not any other reson like baby not being big enough

nope babys fine! I dont understand it. I made it quite clear i no longer did. They said i could of affectd blood vessells x

i did many years ago. very very occasionally. i didn't even think to mention it. i doubt many people do...

i no im wishin i hadnt been so honest now as i no it will not have affected the baby as my 1st son is fine! think my doc is overreactin!! x

doc may be over reacting and maybe not, just ride with it and see what happens but never let them treat you badly!

Hey look at the bright side... you get to see the baby more often!

I didnt mention any past drug use because I knew I would do nothing during pregnancy or anything to harm the baby and I didnt want a lecture. My husband said, you should have been honest when they asked but NO just came out. Like they wouldn't see me as a fit mother if I had smoked dope. Now I am glad I didnt say anything

Some people see marijuana as a bad drug but if you would have said you were an ex smoker (cigarettes) which I am and said that , they would not react this way. But truth is cigarettes can have the same damage on our lady bits. So it is just an over reaction. Like I say just enjoy the extra attention your baby is getting... we all love scans and we dont get enough

If you tell a doctor you smoke 10 cigarettes a day, they tend to presume you actually smoke double this amount, 20 cigarettes a day, as the vast majority of people would half the amount they smoke in order not to look as bad. Same thing with units of alcohol per week.

With historic drug use --since the majority of people would not mention cannabis use from their youth-- the presumption is your use is more recent and / or greater than you told them. This is of course very unfair of them. I think a lot of people have smoked the occasional joint in their teens/ early 20s, but most wouldn't mention it.

Did they scan you lots during your last pregnancy?
Have they referred you to a specialist drug and alcohol midwife?
