Certainly talk with your midwife. I'm certain your midwife will have had stranger questions than this before.
Also i don't think its something you can really assess yourself anyway, as it takes a scan to measure the full length of the cervix as far as i understand it.

Sorry to but in but at my early ultrasound the doctor told me I have a long cervix, is that bad

a long cervix is great, a short one isnt, thats why i did this ebcause one doc told me mine is very short.

its somthing i would tell your midwife about just to make sure. but im sure its fine i just wouldnt recomend doing it often. i wouldnt know what i was looking for and if it was right or not so i wouldnt bother doing it myself im abit thick haha, so ill leave that stuff for the dr's and midwifes hehe

I just wish I could demand the gyn to check my cervix with the ultrasound but seeing how healthcare here is you cant really demand anything as both governmental and private work on what they want to do and dont care much for what the patient likes.

if youve been advised there is no risk to sex for you (90% of preg women are fine to have sex unless they have a specific medical reason why not) then theres no way that this would be any different. Infact its probably less invasive than sex.

Ask if youre worried. She wont even blink xxx Try not to worry

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure your hand with a glove on is more sanitary than a penis!

If you are really worried about it though, definitely talk to your doctor and explain to her why you are concerned about your cervical length.
