pain on my right side..

this morning i woke up with a stabbing pain on my right side of my abdomen... after 10 minutes it passed but scared the hell outta me.. i had rolled over and was sleeping on my belly.. u think that might of caused it? my blood pressure was kind of high this weekend due to some family business could it be that??? ...

My midwife is no help i havent even met her yet and im coming up to 20 weeks ..she wont even answer her phone... so now im turning to my baby and bump sisters for some advice..

I'm really sorry I can't give you any advice but I had the exact same thing happen to me today! My midwife is rubbish too, she was kind of like "it'll be alreet" which didn't reassure me at all! She did say that lying on your front is okay until it gets uncomfortable though!

it's usually just the pain of ligaments streching to accomodate your growing baby! it's a good sign! try streching slowly!

I sleep on my tummy and lay on my tummy, usually sort of propped up on one side and my doctor said that was fine, even better than laying on my back, she said. Anyway, I get those pains too, especially on my right side. It sort of feels like I pulled something and the pain is sharp. Sometimes when laying down and yesterday, when I climbed into my truck bed. Sometimes I think I am more acrobatic than my tummy allows but I forget when I am busy.

Same happened 2 me this morn. I had rolled onto back several times in nite and had stabbing pain for 10-15 mins when I woke. I think it's just due 2 where baby is lying, whether bladder is full (mine was bursting!) and positioning of organs. Yr bp shouldn't have anything to do with it. If your mw is really useless u have the right to complain to yr gp and request another 1. That's terrible u haven't seen her for whole 20 wks. She needs to know ur not happy hun. Good luck! x
