Yeast infection creams...please help!

I know I am suffering from a yeast infection, I have had them before. I also recently got off of antibiotics so I am sure that is why I have one, antibiotics always give me yeast infections. My question is has anyone been prescribed by there doctor or told it was ok to use yeast infection creams while pregnant. I have been waiting for my medical to come though but it hasn't yet, and I can't afford to see the doctor because a visit is $150 dollars. I really need some relief and just want to buy some cream, but I am not sure if this is ok or a no-no. I did talk to the lady at the doctor who takes weight, and urine samples and she said it was fine...but I don't think she is a nurse, so I am a still unsure

The cremes and pessarys are fine, I was prescribed them from the doctor. The oral tablets are a big no no though!

I am not sure what pesseries are but everyone seems to be agreeing that the creams are fine, so Monistat should be fine then?

Babyhope, pessaries are tablets that you insert vaginally, they dissolve and are absorbed by the surrounding tissue http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/health_ad.../pessaries.htm

In the UK you can get a brand called Canesten, they sell oral tablets, a cream and a cream with a pessary. Canesten pessaries and cream are safe in pregnancy. The oral tablets aren't. Not sure about Monistat as I've not heard of it before, but I googled Canesten and apparently you can get it in America too - for example http://www.lifepluspharmacy.com/prod...y=USD&aid=GBUS Might be worth seeing if you can get that? The Monistat may say on the packet if its suitable for pregnancy.

My dr recommened the canesten cream (not the tablets) although I don't think it matters too much. I don't think Monistat is recommended and she said only put it about half way up.
