losing weight in pregnancy!!

Just wondered whether any of you have lost weight during your pregnancy due to a change in diet (healthy eating) not just down to morning sickness.
I went for my booking visit yesterday and had to get weighed which i dreaded as I have been eating so much rubbish lately. I could do with losing a few pounds (well quite a few tbh) and wondered if anyone had done the same.
I want to lose some of my body fat and be more fit so that when it's time for labour it's not going to be so difficult.
And also heard that being over wight increases chances of DS babies on the triple tests, Im only 21 and now really worried about this! Can anyone enlighten me????
Sorry for goin on
Thanks girls
xxx

I'd be careful trying to lose body fat whilst pregnant. I think the time to get fit is before we get pregnant, not once we are. We can't get fit phsycially unles we were alread fit - I mean, we can be active, but no hard work outs - our heart rate mustnt go over 140 bpm.
And be careful of cutting out fats - often they contain essential oils and all sorts of goodness required to build bones, teeth, skin etc.
Really, I'd not worry about it - eat healthily and thats all you can do. But don't "diet".

I heard about one girl who was so obsessed with keeping her figure that she damaged her baby - deprived it of nutrients without realising just because she didnt want to get fat. I cant think of anything worse.

eat plenty of fruit and you'll be fine.
