painful but miracle remedy for eczema!!!

i have spoke to a few ladies at different times on bnb about different rashes in pregnancy n how my entire body rash has been that bad that i had to take the desision to take oral steroids as i was risking a blood infection, well heres wat ive been waiting for, something that is actually helping n its non medical!!

it is sea salt baths!!!! now i will warn u that they sting, i mean really sting like crazy but believe me they r sooooo worth it! after just one my skin felt softer n looked unbelievably better, n wat makes this even better is that my OH researched this n went to a health shop in town all off his own back!!!!

It may have worked for you but I would warn people not to try this, I have exzema and have since i was a child and i have ALWAYS found that sea salt makes it TONNES worse! For example sea water has made it really bad in the past.

The thing that i would reccomend is that when mine flares up really bad i bath in oilatum junior bath formula. That realy helps me personaly xxx

Mummy2b I second that. It may be great for some rashes but saltwater and the sea makes my eczema flare up too. I think it's because it dries the skin out more. Oilatum is great, just make sure you don't slip in the bath hehehe I've done that a few times!! Wasn't pregnant at the time though thankfully x x

Hmmm i would never have thought salt. Maybe its slightly different to sea water. I get a little on mw hands and as soon as i feel a flare up starting i use my sons cream and that thankfully posts it out and stops the flare up.

Oh God I've slipped on Oilatum TOO many times, but like you said thankfully not since ive been pregnant! It is really slippy but it creates like a barrier on your skin with like moisture and stuff, it is really good (despite the slipping hazzard!) xx

i had terrible eczema all over my body with even open wounds on my face.

i tried it all salt baths (which over time make it worse as they strip ur skin of its protective barrer) steriods creams and tablets everything!

it got so bad i wudnt leave the house but one day i had enough of this controling my life.

i stopped all meds and started to use dove bodywash and my skins been great ever since.

yes salt baths help but they will make u worse
