is normal when pregnant and blame it on that you get more sensitive when pregnant and claim it might be yeast/trush. Do you believe this is true (i sure dont!!!)?

I have tried several treatments for thrush but only made it worse.
I have had these problems for months now (soon 4 months) and I am sick of their ignorance.

Does anyone know also if it is dangerous to have too many checkups "downthere" when pregnant? As I am now sick and tired of this and want to find out what it may be!!!

Sounds more like a bladder infection to me. I don't think too many vaginal checkups does anything to pregnancy however, I could be wrong.

or it could be cistitis just tell ur midwife that ur sick of getting fobbed off for a yeast infection!! and tell her u want to get it sorted once and for all i would good luck chick xx

I had burning when peeing, sore bits and a snotty green discharge for ages, I went to the doc and was diagnosed with a water infection, within 4 days of taking amoxicillin 3 times a day my burning when peeing sensation has gone and green discharge is now white or clear and ''normal''. I'm using canesten thrush cream in conjuction as you're more susceptible to it when on antibiotics. You sound like you have the same, maybe get a urine analysis done for a UTI?

Yeah I would deff get a urine sample done and tested could be cistitis or uti, I know how awful cistitis too, really horrible, but mine wa scaught early thankfully......

They did check urine and bacterial sample, but not one for yeast or anything else and it must be something?
It cant be normal to be so red downthere and have that pain? It stays for ages even after I peed!


Whenever I tell them my problem persists I get run off by them, it makes me wonder if they would do the same to a somewhat older lady that tried to get pregnant for some time.
Just because this wasnt planned i dont think i deserve this kind of treatment and my baby deserves the best treatment as well. I just dont know what to do. I cant change gyn/mw as they already got the money from the state to finance my pregnancy healthcare (thats the way its done in Sweden, the place you chose for your pregnancy get an amount of money from the state).


When I ask them to take tests for trichomonas and mycoplasma genitalium the gyn had almost an outburst on me saying it is wrong to accuse my partner of having a STD (just cause shes lazy to take the tests). I just dont know.

She said I am all red downthere, both inside and out, and my cervix is also red and irritated, that was about 2 months ago now, I am afraid a red irritated cervix is dangerous and may cause my baby to get infections as maybe it doesnt hold out for infections as good then and that I am also afraid it may get weaker and I lose my baby prematurely. Should I be worried about that or is it normal/ok to have a red irritated cervix?

if i were you i would bypass the docs and midwife and go to your GU clinic, they will treat you promptly and its not always about stds in those cinics, i went because i knew i had BV and the docs would not take any swabs, i left the GU cinic with anti biotics and a fast service asnd reliable diagnosis. they are usually drop in clinics at your local hosp or medical centre and are impartial x

Whats a GU clinic?
I'm in Sweden, wonder if we have GU clinics here, thanks for the advice, I am guessing it will take around 3-6 weeks until I get a proper doctor's help and I am counting on that I may need to go to 2 docs (not so good doctors here in womens' health) and then it may take even longer.

Its the GUM clinic where they check for stds and stuff. They are ususally at the hospitals.

Ahhh so a STD clinic, I do have an appointment to one of those but am trying to get an another appointment to get other stuff checked as well as I have been told the doctors at the STD clinics here only want to test for STD.s and not anything else.
