Weight Gain or Lack Of!!

Hiya,

Prob seems a silly question, but I´m 17 and a bit weeks gone, and I haven´t put any weight on at all, if anything I´ve lost weight. My midwife weighed me last time and said "Are you sure you´re eating?", like no I´m starving myself you silly woman . I was expecting to put some weight on by now, but I´m still the same, maybe a bit less than I was when I first got pregnant.

I´m eating loads and not trying to lose weight or anything silly like that, but I can´t seem to put weight on and I´m getting worried now, like what if I´m starving my unborn?!? I have a small baby bump but thought that was ok cos I´m only 17 weeks.

Anybody the same? Thanks for listening!

I no ur eating just wanted to tell you mine, just so you know baby will get what it needs, if your eating i shouldnt worry too much about the weight gain it will come lol, im just starting to put on weight ive only put 4 pounds on tho and only 3 days in front of you. xx

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm still lighter than I was before I got pregnant, haven't even got a bump yet...I think every1 develops at different stages, a friend of mine didn't really get a bump untill 32 weeks!! Her little girl was born a healthy 6lb 6

I wouldn't worry hon, as long as the bub is growing fine then things should be fine. I gained 30+ with my first but this time around I've only gained 13lbs and that was at yesterday's appointment. None of my doctors seem concerned and bub is measuring bang on for dates and my fundus height is actually a week ahead.

I'm sure everything is fine
