when does the doc start to discuss birth options with us?
Well no ones mentioned anything to me! but we don't have the option over here in the UK of choosing a c-section unless theres a medical reason behind having it, i think..... correct me if i am wrong anyone!
No ones even mentioned anything about giving birth to me at my doctors haha
We see a consultant due to previous pregnancy problems. He said they assume a vaginal delivery unless there are other predisposing factors. Try not to worry Tinytoes.

The following user says 'Thanks' to coccyx for this post:
My midwife asked me at my first appointment where I wanted to give birth and if I planned to breastfeed. I was 8 weeks pregnant so I really hadn't given it a lot of thought.
I think the midwife just goes through it all with you at one of the appointments. For me it says it will be at 36 weeks in my notes but if you wanted to talk to her sooner I'm sure she'd be happy to discuss it.
Doctors don't really tend to have that much to do with pregnancy unless you have complications. I have 2 check ups with a doctor and the rest are all midwife appointments.
I don't really know the answer to your question as my Midwife has yet to mention anything helpful about the birth of my baby. I haven't discussed anything at all with her.
Birth plans are usually made with your midwife but i am not sure when these are made.
I asked my MW this, she said at the parent craft classes (antenatal) they go through options and that I would start going at about 32 weeks. I'm in North Yorkshire as I am finding out it is different everywhere!
