Apparently I'm just a hypochondriac...

Well - Thursday I rushed to the doctor cause I thought for sure I had a UTI. I had all the symptoms... frequent, somewhat painful unrination, the urge to go, then hardly nothing came out, etc...

They put my on antibiotics and sent me on my way. It takes a couple days for the results to come back, but didn't want me to wait till TODAY to find out... so I took them just to be safe.

I also started with Braxton Hicks all week too. I thought it was early and strange, but then I read the two can be related... so I figured it made sense..I mean - BH can happen any time, but it says they are common with a UTI.

Turns out... I never had a UTI... so whats up with me? I'm just a hypochondriac? I feel so stupid now.....

No I don't think you are. It is natural to worry.

I was on the phone to my midwives last night cos of my pain. Had an appt with my GP today and he said the pain is relating to my womb which has shifted far up really quickly.

I don't know what is normal and what isn't when pregnant! So I check every little thing.

I'd say I didn't give a shit about my health or babies if I ignored things

I bet the baby is pushing on your bladder and making it feel like a UTI! No way for you to know though without them checking you! I think any one of us would have done the same!

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I just feel dumb cause I actually have thought I seemed "better" since I finished the antibiotics. So how is that possible??

No reason to feel dumb over it! The baby probably just changed positions. When mine moves a certain way it feels like my tailbone is going to break. Hurts so bad until he moves!

I did the same - was convinced I had a UTI but tests came back negative. Still feel the same, peeing 5 times a night and going to the loo every hour during the day..... v frustrating. You were absolutely right to get it checked out, could be serious if left untreated and as my doc told me, UTIs present differently during pregnancy.

its always best to be safe than sorry as untreated UTI'S can trigger premature labour
