Lol, thank you. I was just surprised that it could go from being spot on to a week further along in 6 weeks...still it seems quite common.

You don't think it has anything to do with the trifles that I've been eating

i just had an emergency scan due to painful Braxton Hicks, but my LO is weighing in at almost 7oz, and 6.5 inches long.....i was confused as im very petite and OH is average but i guess thats silly. guess i should watch my milkshakes as baby seems to be packing on the weight instead of me!

If baby is measuring 5 or 6 days ahead I wouldn't worry. They are all different sizes later in the pregnancy and at this stage a dating scan can be off a week one way or the other.

At my 21 week scan last week, my bubs was measuring 12 days ahead.

Both head measurements and tummy measurements were above the 95 percentile. I was told I was having a big baby. I did ask if bubs growth would be likely to slow down and I was told it would be more likely to continue and I'll just have a big baby!!!

I'm being re-scanned at 32 weeks and possibly 36 weeks to check the growth again.

Thanks for the replies. Having read more threads, it does seem like babies often measure ahead.....so long as Bean doesn't continue to grow so big since I've got another 22 weeks to go lol

Sorry I can't offer any advice, but it looks like you've been given plently on here already. I just wanted to say congrats on seeing your little bean again and that he or she is due on my birthday!!! xxx

Mine measured a bit ahead too yesterday. They said that at this stage it doesn't mean anything. They told me he weighs a bit over 12 ounces! (Average for 19 weeks is 10 ounces i think.. 12 ounces is average for 21 weeks) All the measurements are averages though, not one size fits all! Even babies that measure ahead are only just a little bit bigger at this point. They told me they won't know if he's going to be bigger at birth until 34 weeks when they do a size check scan to make sure he's not too big. (my doc does that with everyone to be on the safe side)

Same happened at my gender scan. Babybond said I was 5 days further on going by baby's measurements but at my 20wk scan I was told that my due date won't change.
