as the other girls have said its not anything to worry about hun, your baby may have a few weeks where he/she grows a little slower and then you find measurement are bang on for dates. I was always told my son was small, he was born at 39+6 at 6lbs 40z which isnt particularly small

Thanks Ladies, thats very comforting to know. My husband is 6ft 8, so I guess Bean could end up being tall

As for the sex, we did find out but want to keep it to ourselves

Thanks again lovelies,

Nicola xx

its only the last few weeks that are a concern anyway hun, theres plenty of time left to average out !

at my 28w scan Harriet measured between 24/25w and was on the smaller size until 36w and she was on the line perfectly, she was born 9 days over due and not tiny AT ALL x

At 30 weeks i was measuring 34.

I had a growth scan and they told me baby was big for gestation.

I got told i would have a big baby and when my son was born he was 7lb 13oz.

I wouldnt worry hun

Hi Nicola,

As I said in my PM before you had your gender scan, my baby is measuring a few days ahead as well. I think it is quite normal for now. My midwife said that at my anomoly scan, they will check on her growth and may or may not be concerned, but for now it's fine.

Thank you. I did think that in the grand scheme of things, 1 week wouldn't make much difference but thought it best to check.

Roll on our 22 weeks scan so we can check again x

My son measured big on my 20 weeks scan, so midwife requested growth scans at 32 weeks and 38 weeks to check his size. He came at 36w 4d weighing 7lb 3 oz.

Our bean is measuring small after measuring bang on at 12 week scan. Beacuse they judge the number of weeks on the size o the head I think it can go days either way without having much effect. Your bean may be a faster grower or maybe a little bigger but your body will know when it is time and most of the time your body will only grow your baby as big as you can deliver!

Easy for me to say ours is measuring small - lol

good luck my yoga buddy is having the same issue although her baby's head is measuring 2 weeks further on that the rest of it! Apparently this is also common - she is now calling her bean bubble head!! Bless

x

Thank you and lol @ Bubble head; I like it!!!

yes, it as the head that was measured. Well I've got plenty of scans ahead so we'll see what it's like at the next which is in 3 weeks.

Hey Carrie, I don't recall you mentioning that in the pm, but thanks for your feedback.

I've just looked and no, I didn't mention it LOL. I mentioned it in a PM to someone else who PMd me to ask how mine went. D'oh. I'll blame it on the baby brain. Hehe. Either way, it's nothing to worry about for now.
