Well thanks ladies i feel slightly attacked. As i stated before i was not trying to cause conflict (controversy) am i not allowed to state i am glad i didnt get the shot. If you all are allowed to state how happy you are that you got it.. should i not have the same right?

And a lot of you are saying there is no proof to back up our side of why we choose not to get it. There is no evidence to the autism or adjutants.. well there isnt evidence either that the vaccine is safe or that it wont cause any problems later...

Now leaving it as is... its a personal choice whatever you choose be happy about it.

Tink --I definitely agree with your post. I did not get the shot and there are times where I feel attacked if I say that I am happy with my decision due to recent articles I read or news I have heard. Whether we got the shot or not; we should all be happy with the choices we made since it was our choice to make. Thanks for sharing the info...I've found many articles that were great on mercola.com.

Thing is the only thing that is different in this shot to the seasonl flu is the virus, the rest of it is the same, they have been giving it to pregnant women for years now......Nobody was attacking anyone, they are just pointing out that there isnt any evidence to back up with the autism.......But maybe this thread ashouldnt have been started, its one of those where people think they are being attacked when they arent, cause everyone has a view and nearly everyone will share it........A lot of things that have been in the press and on the net are just scaremongering, there is a few pregnant women who have died from the swine flu, but they havent actually recorded those that went into prem labour and lost their babies, or those who suffered a mc from having the swine flu, even those babies who have had development issues cause by the swine flu.......Dont take this as an attack please cause its not, just stating that the press and the net have a great way of scaring everyone into believing what ever they want everyone to believe........

Also wanted to say just be at peace with your decision, I wasnt going to get the shot, but I have asthma and a whole family to think about, I am not willing to risk any sort of complications.......I was happy at first with the idea of not having it, but I have to think about my whole family........

Tink, I think that people were commenting more on how slanted the article was and not attacking you for your choice.

If that article, and the reasons stated within, are the reasons you chose not to have the shot, then it goes without saying that that's your right and I'm not going to have a go at you for it.

For myself, I personally found the article anything but impartial and unbiased and I would never make a decision based solely on what's written there. I've read a whole lot (far more than I really wanted to) on the whole issue and I've read from one extreme to the other and everything in between.

If I were to have to present one single article with information on the H1N1 virus and vaccine for others to read and make their decisions based upon it, this article wouldn't even make my short list, mostly because I think it completely fails at being balanced and fully informative on all of the issues involved, nor do I feel that it was even particularly well done in presenting the arguments that it did.

I think the problem with you saying that your glad you didnt have it is that you can change your mind and decide to have it whereas the people who have all had it cannot change theres. Thats a big deal when someone posts things like this.

Also there are some people who had no choice really due to health problems, so i do think its a little unfair to state things like your 'glad' you didnt have it (perhaps could have put it a bit better or something)

No offence intended. Just an opinion... x
