Lower Back Pain - Advice Please

Afternoon,
Just want to see what you all think.

I have been having lower back pain... mainly on the left hand side for the last couple of months really.
Now, I know i also have sciatica that comes and goes on that side, but this doesn't feel like that. I also don't think it is a kidney infection becuase I have been tested for UTI's regularly.
Do you think it could be SPD? i have read bits and bobs about it, but not really sure.
Don't want to go bothering the Doc if its nothing, but then on the other hand maybe I should!!
Any suggestions please?

I have the same problem, bottom of my back in the right side. I'm in AGONY right now!! I've told my mum and she thinks the baby could be lying on a nerve but it's like this all the time now, not getting any better.

Hi Ju

I have BAD lower back ache but used to only get it during my period. Now it's there pretty much all the time. I've really done anything to help it apart from deep heat and nurofen.

I don't know what SPD is but my advice would be to go to the GP anyway as they prescribe you with an anti iflammatory...

Hope you feel better soon,

Nicola xx

Its again a relief to know I am not the only one!
I do wonder if its because I am bit overweight and quite unfit!

I experienced 2 weeks of lower back pain, which ended up mainly being in my right bum cheek. It wasnt excrutiating, just extremely uncomfortable. Felt like a pulled muscle to be honest. I went to the docs who reassured me that it was just ligaments stretching with the baby putting pressure on some areas. After speaking to him I took paracetamol and he told me about some physio movements to use and now, I have no back pain at all, have also been swiming a couple of times and think that helped.

If you are worried go to your docs, its what they are there for.
