I'm Currently Feeling:

Nappy Brain

This morning when making a cup of tea at work, I poured a kettle of boiling hot water over my hand after missing my cup. It hurts Ive then managed to staple one of my fingers and nearly fall over when Ive tried to sit down and my chair wasn't there.

Someone who I work with said this is called 'nappy brain'.

Anyone else had this?

Its not too bad actually considering it was a good 10 seconds of continuing to pour water on it before I realised :S lol

All Ive had to do is take my engagement ring off coz its a bit tender but apart from that its fine

That doesn't sound like fun.

Yeah, the nappy brain comes into effect during pregnancy. It's not fun sometimes. LOL

Yeah, my best mate always calls it "Baby brain" - I didn´t believe her until I got pregnant and noticed myself really having to concentrate doing the most simple stuff.

Just over the past few days I´ve managed to fill the washing machine up, set it going and then realise that the ball full of persil liquid was still sitting on top of the washing machine. The other day I fancied a hard boiled egg on my salad, so set it all up, went away to do something else, came back and realised I´d forgotten to switch the top of the cooker on. This morning I just managed to stop myself from pouring apple juice instead of milk into my cup of tea!!

I hope your hand is ok.

I have that sort of thing happen to me all the time, even when I'm not pregnant but it has been getting worse recently I guess.

Quite a while back now I put fabric conditioner in my tea instead of milk TWICE!! One time I drunk some of it and thought maybe it was Earl Grey but wondered why it still tasted funny. I also walked into a wall and got a nasty bruise and poured water from the kettle on my breakfast rather than milk.

More recently quite suprisingly I haven't done anything that strange. I reguarly try to make drinks and forget to put the tea or coffee in the cup though.
