I'm Currently Feeling: | Prenatal classes?? Ok girls I have a question for you. Stan and I have gone back and forth on whether we should sign up for prenatal classes or not. Wouldn't mind attending them but the $75 they charge seems pretty steep and could buy so many baby things. So my question is, is it worth going? Since this is my first pregnancy and all would it be a good thing to attend?? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I honestly would not pay $1 for the classes but that is my opinion the only benefit I felt was the tour of the labour ward but surely you could do that without paying for it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | You can do the tour without paying for the classes-that's the other thing that has me wondering if it's really worth all that money. $75 is a lot when you are preparing for a baby!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I can´t believe you have to pay for them. I get mine for free, 7 evenings with one evening reserved for OH´s - we have to pay 21 euros extra for that though.
My neighbour told me not to bother going to classes, as she said when it comes to the birth everything you´ve learned or been advised on goes out the window and you do what you feel like doing. I´ve signed up for them purely cos I think its a good way to meet other pregnant women in my area, as no-one in my group of friends is or has been pregnant!
If I had to pay so much for them though, I might have decided otherwise. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | We're having ours at the hospital and they're free,. I guess it's NHS though, and we only have three 2 hour sessions.

I'm Currently Feeling: | The classes haven't started yet, so I"m not sure if they're worth it or not. I could get a 4D scan for less than that though and I had to pick between the two..figured the CB classes were more important. It is 5 classes...2 1/2 hours each. It's not a hospital one though, it's a private one on Hypnobirthing. |
