Kidney Infection?

I had a kidney infection 2 weeks ago which finally got diagnosed after I thought it was horrible backache for a week, and again now it feels like I do again... I have the same stabby aching tear jerking pain in my right side! Is it even possible for the same poor kidney to get infected twice in a month??

Anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking my antibitoics were a bit crap

Unfortunately it's very possible. Go back to your dr, they should probably do a sample and check out what bacteria is causing it so they can target with a more specific antibiotic (if it's appropriate). Hope you recover quickly x

I agree it is possible - I havent had a kidney infection since pregnant (just a UTI) although had them lots over the years due to kidney stones... they do tend to prescribe very weak antibiotics (understandably) during pregnancy - when I have had a kidney infection pre pregnancy the antibiotics prescibed were usually pretty strong... so the ones you had may not have worked.. keep on at your GP until you feel better x
