Advice please- what should I do??

Ive been panicking all way through pregnancy due to previous mc, but every appointment or scan I go to and all is fine

Not seen mw for 2 weeks now(but heard heartbeat loud and clear then),im 24 weeks, still no bump and still not really feeling movements I can be sure are baby

Should I see midwife again, or buy doppler, or go for another scan? what you think would be best? Or do you think I am just panicking over nothing? xx

I would ring your midwife and express your concerns to her. She may ask you to go in for her to use the doppler. Hope all is ok hun x

go 2 midwife and ask her 2 put u on the monitor. home dopplers have had bad press lately (in last month's mother and baby mag) and a scan is expensive.

Hi Hon,

Not really sure what you should do though you do sound like your getting good care.
I think every pregnancy is different and some women really don't show very much and some women (like myself) don't feel much movement till quite late on.
However if you are at all worried give your midwife a call, that can't hurt and she can advise you on what to do!

As Vixta said, I think your first port of call should be your MW. If you have no luck there, see your GP s/he will be able to at least feel your tummy and check for movements. I don't really rate home dopplers, I think they can make anxieties worse.

I would call your MW, but I do think you should try to relax. I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy, and it was devestating, but there is no reason to go through all these things (scan after scan, doppler use after doppler use). Miscarriages are common, but normally only once. I think you're fine and everyone's bump comes at different stages and so does movement.
