Best time for 4d scan

I had my gender scan on Saturday, and just have the 4d scan left from my package. They said to me that the best time to have the 4d scan is at around 25 weeks. For me, this is 4th January, which is the day my OH goes back to work after xmas.

I have read on here, some people saying that the best time is actually later than 25 weeks when the baby is less mobile in the womb. My baby seems to be quite an immobile baby anyway, and has to be plied with mars bars to wake her up. Do you think if we went at between 24 and 25 weeks, we'd be disappointed? They do rescan for free if the baby won't comply.

I think you will still get good pics, i was told 26 weeks was the best time, and i think i got great pics

and its good they will rescan if baby is being stubborn! we only got a few decent shots, because my lil man kept putting his hand over his face x

See this is what I have been reading - lots of people being told different times for their 4d scan. I think I will go with 25 as they do say they will rescan if necessary.

"Keep in mind we do sessions from 20 weeks (gender scans) to 36 weeks, however we suggest that the optimum time for your 3D/4D scan should be between 26 - 32 weeks. This is when we can generally capture the cutest images. Women with twins should come in around 24 weeks. Many mothers visit two to four times to capture the different stages of development."

thats what a 4d place near me says

27 weeks in three clinics in US that I called. Not sure why I called though, I am not even sure I want to do that

We've got ours on 03.01 which will make is 25+1.

ive got mine tomorrow at 23weeks, but even the lady said he will be far to small to get many good pics, im abit gutted, but my OH booked it for my birthday so its a nice thought. I will post piccies tomorrow for you to see, but i would say wait, im going to book another one for about 28weeks, the lady at the place im going to said best piccies are from 25weeks +, so u should be fine, its when they start putting weight on the piccies are best as they look more like "proper" babies!

27 or 28 weeks looks best...anything before that they usually look like little aliens because LO doesn't have much body fat then..and then when you wait till 30..you can still get a cute picture..but thats when LO starts to look cramped..you can google 3D scans at 25 weeks..to get a idea of what LO will look like
