My hubby has come to all scans but not to my MW appointments. I'd like him to come to the 24th Wk appointment though if he can get the day off so he can hear our babys heartbeat.

Well, he goes to all my scans obviously and he takes me to every single appointment but just waits in the waiting room or car sometimes. They are just blood pressure and asking questions. He was at one with me, it was after my 12w scan and I just assumed he would go in with me but he just sat there and he seemed a bit uncomfortable lol But the only thing is if you really want him to be there when the doctor uses the dopplar. I asked my husband if he wanted to be there and he said no it was ok, and at the 16w appointment when they used the dopplar, tbh I didnt even recognise the heartbeat she said thats yours and thats the babies, and I couldnt tell the difference so I told him he didnt miss much. But at 23w I could tell the difference, but he says as long as he knows the heart is beating, he doesnt need to hear it He doesnt like sitting there while I get a hundred questions asked me lol

I would say it isnt necessary.

he doesnt need to take time off because the midwife is only in on a Wednesday at my GP office and that is his day off and we have scheduled all the scans for his day off as well.

Mine goes to all of them but then we schedule them for the morning as he always works in the afternoon/evening. He would definitely not be able to take time off work for them but it's worked out so far!

My husband doesn't work, so there's no issue with time off, but since all they do at the non scan appointments is check my BP, weight, and sometimes urine. There's not really any reason for my husband to be there. We have a doppler at home, so he can hear the baby any time he wants.

My OH has gone to every one of my appointments. He said as soon as he found out I'm pregnant that he wanted to go to all of them. TBH, they are really routine appointments, but he wants to be there, so we schedule them for his days off. Unfortunately he just changed jobs so he will miss my appt. on Wed. and he is rather upset about it! He likes hearing the little man's hb and just hearing an "alls ok" from the doc.

My husband wants to attend all appointments with me however he's sadly unable to come along to my 28 week so his mum is tagging along!

Neil is obviously very much a part in this and I want to make sure that he's included all the way x

Nicola xx

My hubby has been to all of mine so far. He just works from home that day and takes a couple hours off to come with me. After my next appt in 2 weeks though, my OB wants me to go from once every 4 weeks to every 2 weeks at which point I think he'll probably end up only coming if I'm feeling off/want him to drive or it's something important.

My OH came along with me to the booking in app and both my scans, he didn't come to the 16 week midwife app as he had to work otherwise he would of came. He'll be coming with me to my 24 week midwife app if he's not at work, bless him he likes to be as involved as possible.
