I have the maxi cosi cabriofix, it can be used on its own with a seatbelt, with an isofix base, or with an easybase (which is compatible with older cars that dont have isofix, which is what I have). The base makes it so easy to use, you just click it on, and the green indicator shows that its on correctly, much better than fiddling with a seatbelt everytime you get bubs in and out of the car. The other massive bonus is that its soooo light! , and as others have said its compatible with so many different pushchairs (some need extra adaptors though). xx

We went and spoke a car seat specilist in MK the other day. She says the best two on the market are Britax and Maxicosi. They have they best ratings in Which reports among others.
Plus the adjustments for taking in and out of the car are the easiest, expecially as you can buy the special clip in and clip put seat attachements if you don;t want to worry about seatbelts.
She also said its better to buy a seat for newborn to approx 1 year, rather than one that will go to say 3 or 4 years old. the reason being the first kind is more designed to keep the little body safe and secure whereas in the the other kind even though baby appears to be safe and secure therecan stil be movemnt!

hope this helps.

Yep yet another maxi-cosi cabriofix fan! We bought one for our son a while back and its excellent. We bought the isofix base for our car which is fantastic, its so easy to use! Then when we go in my dads car we use the seatbelt!

It also fits the pushchair we have now with adapters (quinny buzz) and the one we are buying i-candy peach!!

Brilliant can't praise it enough and its light, until bubs starts getting bigger lol x

I am going to end up with peg perego since my pram already has adapters for it. Hoping to find something less than 300 they are selling it for
