Anyone else having problems with their teeth?

Hi,

I'm having a nightmare with my teeth at the moment. I know they say you lose a tooth for every baby but I've already had to get one pulled out. Another tooth broke about 3 weeks ago and then today I broke another one. I'm going to be gummy by the time I have the baby

Definately book an appointment with your dentist. If you're in the UK, dental treatment is free while pregnant and a year following pregnancy so make the most of it by getting your teeth treated.

My gums bleed when I brush my teeth but that's as bad as it has gotten so far (touch wood).

After 2 pregnancies I only have 9 teeth left total. I was in the middle of getting it all fixed when I got pregnant but it's major work and requires me being put under so I have been told to suffer through it until after the baby is born before they can finish the work. It's horribly embarrassing and it's part of the reason I had a hard time finding a job. Before my son I had lots of fillings in the back because weak/bad teeth run in my family big time. With my son, all the fillings fell out, then with my daughter it all got much worse. It took a while to save up money to get the work done and I was having it done a little at a time. Before this one i had just had a bunch of them pulled and they were working towards dentures but didn't finish. I've already been on antibiotics once so far this pregnancy for an abscess and on pain killers a couple of times from horrendous toothaches. Can't wait until I get to finish the work and smile again without covering my mouth!

Pregnancy is rough on your teeth though without a doubt.

YES! I thought I was the only one. Mine aren't falling out but the gum where my wisdom tooth is coming in has been swelling up all through the pregnancy and I can't even eat on that side sometimes. Another tooth just hurts for no reason on and off, so bad it's woken me up an infinite amount of times... I hope it goes away after baby is born!
