Is there a rule of thumb with bumps??

I've been told conflicting information, Some people have said the smaller/thinner you are the quicker it will show... but ive also heard the thinner you are the it will take longer to show?

Im 14 weeks and have always had a 'lower tummy' or a slight paunch but it just looks like the fat that is on my tummy is being pushed out more which makes me look fatter!!

i think the less belly fat you have to start out with the sooner it will look like a baby bump as it will have the round shape rather than being wobbley hehe! im not sure if it makes a difference to when you will show as everyone is totally different anyway x

I think it is the less belly fat you have the sooner you show unless you have more muscle in which case it take a bit longer and hides behind it. It rings true with me, I have a little bump already and was not chubby (not thin, I was on the high end of the healthy BMI before getting pregnant) but defiantly not much muscle either.

As a general rule, your uterus should be at your belly button (umbilicus) at 20 weeks (about 20 cm).....measured from the top of your pubic bone to the top of your uterus =fundal height measurement....( I just graduated from Nursing school w/ my RN/BSN in May and remember studying this in our Maternal/OB class)
