| Mum (Mom) Active BnB Member  Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 226 | 16 week scan hi ladies i had my 12 week scan and they could not tell the gender i have a 16 week scan booked next thursday was just wondering how accurate they are at 16 weeks, has anyone had one at this time and they not been ale too tell one way or another xxxx  |

| Mum (Mom) BnB Addict  Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: England Posts: 4,928 | I had a 16+4 scan and was measuring 17 weeks. He got a toilet shot and said he was pretty convinced it is a girl, but with girls it is harder to be 100% as it could be a boy hiding their bits (less likely with the shot I got). I was pretty convinced it was a girl and have bought a few dresses for her, but I am not splashing out because I am prepared to be told at 21 weeks scan that she is a he, or even to be told that yep, she is a she but then to give birth to a he! I won't be devastated! I really wanted a boy, then was so convinced I was having a girl and am over the moon to be having one now, but if I end up with a boy I will be OK with that. It's just nice to have a little bit of an idea of what it MIGHT be.  |
