AFP results

Hi everyone, just wondered how long you all waited for your AFP results? Had my tests last Monday and thought I would have a letter by now - can't get through to maternity. Starting to panic xx xx

yes thats what i was expecting but i got a letter saying the results.
when i had blood taken at my first midwife appointment she said if everything is ok with blood ill get results back when i next see midwife but if there is something wrong i would hear from her before next appointmen.

so you might get a letter or if not you will get the results when you see midwife again.

I was told I would hear within 7 days if I was high risk. If I heard nothing then it was low risk. That was 2 weeks ago so I'm low risk

I wouldn't panic, i was told to expect a phone call if there was a problem otherwise a letter would be posted with the results, which happened to take 3wks to turn up. I guess i was super low risk!

Although it did take them about 5wks to tell me i was O negative.... icky more injections!

Thanks everyone, that's made me feel loads better. Had the tests last Monday so maybe the fact that I haven't heard anything for 10 days is good news?

Whisper, I'm AB negative so will have the extra injections too! Never mind.

Seriously though you've all put my mind at rest so thanks lovely ladies xx xx
