Bump size got smaller?!?

Hi,

I noticed yesterday and today that my bump seems quite a bit smaller, im only 19 weeks but its been quite large for a few weeks now.. i was just wondering is it normal to go down in size?? surely it cant be a good thing? could it be something to do with the amount of fluid? im a bit worried and would appreciate any info you may have..

It will probably be bloat thats gone huni. I think bloating is more commen in 1st tri but even i still get my bloated days where i look huge and then it goes away and my wee bump is just baby

I have to agree...that would have been my first reaction too...bloating!

If there are no other symptoms, then it is certainly nothing to worry about

and dont forget hun the babs could have been lying in front but moved back towards the spine i used to get that a lot midwifes no me off by heart now lol but was told its nothing to worry about and its totaly normal

stop worrying and enjoy!!! and where are u woman u havent been on fb for days!!! i need baby chats lol hope the move is going ok

Salt! Could be water retention - I was prone to this before but now it's crazy. One day my rings fit the next they don't etc...Sounds counter-intuitive but have a little more water if this might part of it, eases the bloat.

hey, i had a similar feeling and got into a panic, felt bump get smaller and started with morning sickness again at round about the same where you are now. I felt like ..oddly i was going backwards in pregnancy and with the symptoms starting from scratch dreaded it!
Saw the midwife and she said it's soooo normal. Its when your womb settles down between stretches and sort of plateaus for a bit and mine was also cos i'd actually lost weight and everything stopped wobbling and sort of solidified!

Don't worry at all love, really.
Just wait til the next weeks when you'll feel everything return to normal and the stretching pains return, relax and enjoy it xxx

Thank you ladies! i feel a bit silly now, if it was just that i was bloated before. oh well, as long as its normal

lolly dolly i know what you mean about feelingn like your going back wards, my morning sickness has been coming back for a few days too! and just mentaly i just don't "feel" pregnant anymore, but as you say, im sure it will come back, and ill start feeling normal again!

and bubbles, sorry havent been online for a few days, have got the phone line transfered to new house yet, but i will soon, and we can chat baby all day!

It's an odd feeling for sure. But i didn't have much of a bump really, well a lil one and a chunky look. but the feeling does come back and for me i went boing at the same time!!! So maybe your little one is storing it's energy for a big boing too! Keep us posted! x
