Braxton hicks???

Just a quick question

Since yesterday evening Ive been getting quite strong stomach cramps... like period pain or something like that. I had 2 or 3 last night and I had a couple through the night as well. Not like really painful but enough to wake me up. Ive been at work this morning and had 3 off the trot within about 5 minutes of each other. But then I haven't had one since. They lasted about 20 seconds each and the ones this morning almost had me in tears.

Could these be braxton hicks? My mum said it was very early to start having them

Thanks

You should contact your midwife just to be safe, I thought I had braxton hicks a few weeks ago they were so painfull coming every 5 mins lasting for half a min or so . but I just thought it has to be braxton hicks when I told my midwife at the next visit she said you should have gone straight to the hospital as it could have been early labour. I havent had any pain like that since but those pains were so painful i remember thinking whats the real thing going to be like

I was reading somewhere the other day that you actually start having Braxton Hicks from about 6 weeks of pregnancy but you can't feel it till later on. Some people feel it sooner than others. They're not ment to be painful though untill your last few weeks so I agree with the others, that you should probably get it checked out.

I wouldn't worry about work not being understanding Linzi, its more important that you and your baby are ok, i'd go and get checked out, better then to worry x

I know, I just am a bit paranoidd about it at the mo. Im just worried about money and stuff which probably doesn't help. Ive got a deadline to hit by lunchtime so once Ive done that I dont mind going, I just dont want to look still over nothing. If that makes sense. I know in my head everything is fine but its just a bit scary.

Thanks for all your help girls, dont know what Id do without yous
