I'm Currently Feeling: | Dont no wot to do !! Hey all
I havent seen my midwife yet and she promised my GP she would be in contact by the end of my first week of finding out being the 8th feb.. heard nothing so i went back into the doctors due to a tiny bit of spotting (which was nothing to worry about) and they said she will be in contact by friday well i now believe its coming on tuesday and ive still not heard... when i ring the surgery they say she will contact me!!
im a first timer so im really worried as since friday i have been constantly ill and cant keep any food down.. everytime i eat im sick and its getting to me lol
sorry to be a winger i just dont no wot else to do!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm sure if there was a problem she would have gotten a hold of you by now. That being said I'd be ringing the office as often as it took until I got a call back, I don't like being kept waiting. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I saw my GP at 3 weeks as soon as I found I was pregnant and then I saw my midwife 2 weeks later to talk about it etc. Also to let me know to book a dating scan, have you had/booked this yet. If not let your MW know x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Can your GP refer you to another mw? I dont think I'd want my care and the care of my baby in the hands of someone who will not even return my phone calls. That is one of my biggest pet peeves, when dealing with business or important situations, and you shouldn't have to worry and wait around hoping she will call. I would honestly just ask to see another since this one wont even give you the time to return a phone call! What if she did that when you were going into labor!!! I am not positive how it works over there, but in the US, you can choose whoever you want to see. I switched at about 28 weeks. I got a recommendation for a great ob/gyn here, and feel much more comfortable with her. (I still have a few complaints, just cause I'm an over-worried first timer.) Hope things get sorted out for you hun! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Can you not just book an appointment to see her, why wait until she has contacted you? I just ring my surgery and book a date and time with the recpetionist. I wouldn't wait on her ringing. Good luck x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Did not see my midwife for the booking in appointment until after my first scan at 13 weeks. Seems to vary a lot from area to area. Good luck with your scan | | | | Status: Offline
