I read some where that it's not a good idea in the first Tri but should be ok. It all depends on the hormones and stuff, my friends a hair dresser and I've asked her and said it just depends. Have to go a bit careful or try using a semi its less likely to go funny.
the main prblem with hair dying whislt pregnant is that the coulor dosnt take as well as it did/does pre/post pregnancy due to the wonderful boost of hormones making hair thicker and more shiney.
Also alot of people feel the chemicals are harmfull to the unborn baby although im not sure if theres much solid proof of the latter, i would advise to stick with vegtable based dyes or color pigmented conditioner (crazy color/stargazers)
I was getting massive light brown roots (my hair is black usually) so i asked my doctor and he said it was fine, just don't rub the dye into your scalp and get a gentle non-ammonia kind, and do it in a well-ventilated area. I've dyed my hair once so far and all seems well. Only thing I think might be harmful is bleach but I think that's only because of the fumes.
I have had mine done twice whilst pregnant, i asked on here ages ago and some ladies who were hairdressers advised me. They said if you have foils its ok as the dye isn't touching your scalp and to make sure your haridressers is well ventilated.
yes its fine to die your hair, i died my hair last week, however it didn't go the colour it should have. so its best to test the colour on a few strands oh hair beforehand, unless you want to end up with red hair instead of brown like i did, xx
I dyed mine a few weeks ago (I was a really light blonde, but dyed it back to my darker, natural blonde) and it came out perfect. No variations with the color or anything. Just make sure you vent the areaa you're doing it in REALLY well. We had snow on the ground, but I had my bathroom window WIIIIIIIDE open.
